Day 2 – Sonamarg to Thajiwas Glacier (3000 m) (3 km)
Day 3 – Thajiwas Glacier to Sonamarg and Drive to Srinagar
Day 1 : Srinagar (1585 m) to Sonamarg (2800 m) via Ganderbal
The vehicle will be arranged from Srinagar and the drive will be to Sonamarg via Ganderbal. Take a short break at the bank of Sind River at Wayil before reaching Sonamarg.
Day 2 : Sonamarg to Thajiwas Glacier (3000 m) (3 km)
Post breakfast, start the trek and pass through dense forests and undulating meadows ahead to the glacier’s head. Look at the beauty of pine trees lined up on the side of meadows and mesmerising sight of the down valley.
Have lunch at the glacier, between picturesque snow covered peaks, walk around and practice snow sliding. There explore the little huts and lifestyle of shepherds.
Day 3 : Thajiwas Glacier to Sonamarg and Drive to Srinagar
